The ESOT Executive and the EPITA Board are pleased to invite expressions of interest for the new position of Chair and Clinical Lead of The European Pancreas and Islet Transplant Registry.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate the development of a newly formed European Registry for both Pancreas and Islet Transplantation.

The successful applicant will work with an EPITR executive board derived from appropriately appointed experts in both pancreas and islet transplantation. This will also include a designated (after tender) database manager and IT support service (also after tender) who will help with the design and execution of this international service.

This has all been made possible by funding received through ESOT and EPITA and aims to bring together all Colleagues and Transplant Units across Europe active in pancreas and islet transplantation.

The post will be for a 5 year term.

 

The successful applicant will be responsible for chairing the executive board and organising/coordinating 2 meetings per year as well presenting at EPITA and ESOT meetings when deemed necessary, in addition to the publication of an annual activity report, previous experience with database/national or international registries is desirable as well as having active involvement in clinical pancreas and islet transplantation.

The post is honorary/ non-remunerated. Expenses related to the work of the appointee related to the EPITR will of course be covered.
