ECTORS Meeting 2026: Important Update

June 15, 2026 | Meetings | Organ regeneration

We are writing to share an important update regarding the forthcoming ECTORS Meeting, and we appreciate you taking the time to read this carefully.

Following discussions within the organising committee and with key stakeholders, we wish to inform you that the ECTORS Meeting will not proceed in its originally planned in-person format in Cambridge.

This decision has not been taken lightly. We are mindful that this news arrives at a particularly sensitive time, especially for those who may have been preparing an abstract submission, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or uncertainty this may cause.

ECTORS holds a valued and important place within the ESOT community. Our priority is to ensure that any meeting held under its name is meaningful, relevant, inclusive, and able to deliver real value to the professionals, teams, and institutions dedicated to this field.

While the original format will not move forward as planned, we see this as an opportunity to rethink and strengthen the meeting. ESOT and the ECTORS Board are genuinely encouraged by the possibilities this process creates. Our aim is to develop a refreshed programme and meeting structure that will provide even greater value to participants, foster broader engagement across the community, and establish a stronger foundation for the future of the ECTORS Meeting.

In the meantime, abstract submissions for the Cambridge meeting are suspended while this review is underway. We are aware that some of you may already have prepared a submission or may be in the process of preparing one, and we are genuinely grateful for your interest, time, and commitment.

Your engagement remains extremely important to us, and we wish to assure you that any future opportunity to contribute scientifically to the revised format will be communicated clearly and with appropriate notice.

We are committed to keeping the community fully informed and intend to share a further update once the next steps have been agreed with the relevant bodies.

Thank you sincerely for your understanding, patience, and continued support.

We remain committed to working alongside the ECTORS community to build a stronger, more sustainable, and more impactful initiative for the future.
