“The Voice of VCA Patients” Patient Society, in collaboration with the Pressecenter and PR department of the University Clinic of Innsbruck, has organised a photoshoot aimed at raising awareness about VCA (Vascularized Composite Allotransplantation) and highlighting the theme “External is Equal to Internal”.
This activity is supported by the VCA Section of ESOT.
This event will take place on the 22nd of May, 2024, from 11AM to 3PM, at the Press Centre of the University Clinic of Innsbruck, Austria.
With the backdrop of this photoshoot, The Voice of VCA Patients hopes to highlight the importance of organ donation and encourage more people to consider becoming donors, thereby giving others a second chance at life. The photoshoot will showcase the connection between the appearance of the person and their inner well-being and raise awareness about the life-saving impact of VCA transplantation. This event will also provide collaboration and knowledge-sharing opportunities among VCA Centres. It is anticipated that this event will inspire researchers, policymakers, and funders to continue supporting advancements in this vital area of medicine.
