An ESOT led publication in now available on Transplant International !
The paper, from experts from Europe and the USA, discusses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on transplant services over time at a national and international level, providing a snapshot of events from two periods. The first, in late 2020, looked back at the early phases of the pandemic, at how we had to adjust to unprecedented circumstances, and what worked, and what were unforeseen challenges. The second period was after vaccinations became available, when many countries were looking to provide near-normal transplantation services while high rates of infection still permeated their hospitals.
