In an evolving world of progress, an essential aspect of healthcare tends to be underestimated: organ transplantation. These life-saving procedures heavily rely on maintaining an equilibrium between supply and demand. It is crucial for us to stay updated on the advancements in this field. Last 7 October, we commemorated #EuropeanDonationDay and were pleased with the release of the Council of Europe Newsletter Transplant 2023.
The information contained in the Newsletter Transplant is also available at the Global Observatory on Donation and Transplantation (GODT), developed by the ONT as Collaborating Center of the World Health Organization (WHO). The GODT (http://www.transplant-observatory.org/) already includes 2022 data for the abovementioned countries and you will find the 2022 global report available soon. Apart from compiling the annual activity global reports, the GODT allows downloading data and building charts and figures online.
