EDTCO Call for nominations

April 27, 2023 | General | Organ donation | Transplant coordination

EDTCO, the European Donation and Transplant Coordination Section of ESOT, would like to announce a call for nominations for three new Board members. The new EDTCO Board Members will hold office for four years (2023-2027), starting at the ESOT Congress, September 2023.

All ESOT/EDTCO affiliates are eligible to submit their applications for the positions. You may nominate yourself or a colleague.

In addition, considering the specialties currently represented on the Board, EDTCO encourages applications coming from: doctors/nurses involved in deceased and/or living organ donation (from ICU units, A&E or anaesthesiology), transplant coordinators (with different backgrounds: health care workers or social workers). The expectation is that elected candidates will become actively involved in the Association by attending Board meetings, educational events (courses), and the annual meetings. Please note that Board members act as volunteers and thus serve without compensation.

The EDTCO Board is strongly committed to principles of diversity and inclusion and promotes balance in geographic and professional representation. Members of traditionally underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

EDTCO was established in September 2011 as a dedicated Section of the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT) to represent all professionals working within the field of organ, tissue and cell donation for transplantation. EDTCO aims to support health care professionals to provide clinically effective programmes on organ and tissue donation, procurement and transplantation. For more information about EDTCO and its activities, please visit the EDTCO webpage.
