Oxford University Press will publish ESOT’s journal from 1 January 2027
The European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT) is pleased to announce that Oxford University Press (OUP) will publish its journal, Transplant International, from 1 January 2027. The partnership will support the journal’s continued development and its role in sharing research that advances transplantation science and clinical practice.
As ESOT’s official journal, Transplant International provides an international forum for research in organ transplantation, organ replacement and regeneration. By bringing together basic science and clinical advances, the journal facilitates knowledge exchange across the transplantation community and supports progress in care.
The partnership brings together ESOT’s scientific community and OUP’s academic publishing expertise, with a shared ambition to strengthen the global reach and impact of research published in Transplant International.
Information for authors, reviewers and readers
Transplant International will transition from Frontiers to Oxford University Press on 1 January 2027. From 1 October 2026, all new and revised manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s new manuscript submission site.
Readers can register for email alerts to receive the latest news and research published in Transplant International.
ESOT will share further information about publication arrangements and access to journal content through its own and the journal’s communication channels as details are confirmed. Authors and reviewers will also receive guidance on any actions required during the transition.
ESOT thanks the journal’s authors, reviewers, editors and readers for their continued contribution to Transplant International and looks forward to their continued involvement in the journal’s next phase.
