ELITA – the European Liver and Intestine Transplant Association – would like to announce a call for nominations for one new Board member. The new ELITA Board Member will hold office for four years (2026-2030), starting in September 2026.
All ESOT/ELITA affiliates are eligible to submit their applications for the positions. You may nominate yourself or a colleague.
The expectation is that successful candidates will become actively involved in the Association by attending Board meetings, educational events (courses), and the annual meetings. Please note that Board members act as volunteers and thus serve without compensation.
The ELITA Board is strongly committed to principles of diversity and inclusion and promotes balance in geographic and professional representation. Members of traditionally underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
About ELITA
ELITA provides a forum for those working in the field of liver and intestinal transplantation to exchange scientific information and views related primarily to providing the best service for patients in Europe requiring liver transplantation. Thus science, training, organ sharing and distribution, co-operative research projects, especially of clinical nature and the European Liver Transplant Registry would be of concern. If you wish to apply for one of these positions, please send the following materials to Silvia Valls (silvia.valls@esot.org) no later than Monday, 4 May 2026.
- A recent picture (Orientation: Portrait (vertical); Size: Minimum 1000 x 1500 pixels; High resolution; background: Neutral or plain preferred)
- A short CV (2 sides max)
- A statement on your commitment to the Section and how you plan to contribute to its activities and mission. The statement shall be max. 300 words long.
- Two letters of nomination by ELITA affiliates.

Please note that you need to be an ESOT member in good standing and affiliated with ELITA to participate in the elections.
