ESOT is excited to announce the release of the second EURO-KEP newsletter, marking another important step towards a more connected and collaborative approach to kidney exchange in Europe.
The EURO-KEP project, proudly supported by ESOT, is working to establish a sustainable cross-border kidney exchange programme that enhances opportunities for living donation and improves equity in access to transplantation. By developing a shared IT platform, harmonising clinical and ethical standards, and designing a robust governance and funding framework, EURO-KEP is paving the way for a unified European kidney exchange system.
In this latest newsletter, readers can discover:
- Updates on the progress of the matching platform and data management systems
- Insights into governance and financial models designed to support long-term sustainability
- Highlights from recent workshops and meetings bringing together key European partners
- A look ahead to the project’s next milestones and opportunities for collaboration
At ESOT, we are proud to contribute to initiatives like EURO-KEP that drive innovation, strengthen partnerships, and improve access to life-saving transplantation. By fostering cooperation across borders, this project brings us closer to a future where every suitable donor–recipient pair has the best possible chance of finding a match.
