ESOT is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the board of its Basic Science Committee (BSC):
- Oscar Gonzalez Fernandez – Consultant Cardiologist in Heart Transplant and Advanced Heart Failure at Freeman Hospital, and Associated Clinical Lecturer at the Translational and Clinical Research Institute, Newcastle University (Newcastle, United Kingdom).
- Serena MacMillan – Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nicholson Group, Department of Surgery, University of Cambridge (Cambridge, United Kingdom).
The BSC is dedicated to advancing transplantation through innovative basic and translational research. By fostering collaboration between scientists and clinicians, the committee works to promote knowledge exchange, strengthen the community, and accelerate the translation of laboratory discoveries into improved clinical practice and patient outcomes.
With the addition of Oscar and Serena, the BSC will continue to expand its activities and reinforce its role as a leading platform for researchers across Europe and beyond.
