It is with deep sorrow that we extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Prof. David E. R. Sutherland, one of the world’s leading pancreas transplant surgeons and one of the finest individuals we have had the privilege to know.
Prof. David E. R. Sutherland revolutionised medicine with his groundbreaking techniques and tireless dedication. He also left an indelible legacy of humanity, compassion, and friendship. His work has saved countless lives, and his influence will endure in the medical community for generations.
As a companion, friend, and mentor, Prof. David E. R. Sutherland was always ready to offer his support and wisdom. His presence brightened any room, and his kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. His memory and example will continue to accompany us for a long time. Those of us who had the honour and privilege of sharing time with him will miss him deeply from the bottom of our hearts.
In this moment of grief, we extend our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones. May they find comfort in the memories and the positive impact Prof. David E. R. Sutherland has left in the world.
