The Education Committee will host an in-person session at ESOT Congress 2025 to address challenges in recruiting and retaining transplant professionals, in line with the WHO’s projected global shortfall of 10 million health workers by 2030. Experts will discuss key issues, opportunities, and the role of education and mentorship.
To support this, a survey has been developed to assess trends in European transplant centres, identify recruitment challenges, and understand professionals’ needs and motivations.
Survey results will be presented during the session, followed by an interactive discussion on challenges and solutions.
