Description & Objectives:

This split liver masterclass is a premier hands-on surgical training programme designed for surgeons with initial experience in liver transplantation who seek to master the complex and life-saving technique of split liver transplantation. Over two intensive days, participants will receive expert-led mentorship, refine their surgical precision, and engage in realistic hands-on practice using human livers in a state-of-the-art Skills Lab.

Hosted at one of Europe’s leading transplant centres, this masterclass provides a practice-focused learning experience, blending theoretical knowledge with cutting-edge surgical simulations. Participants will train with internationally renowned faculty, performing step-by-step split liver techniques on Thiel-preserved human livers, while incorporating advanced liver perfusion technology.

This exclusive masterclass is limited to 24 participants, ensuring personalised mentorship and intensive hands-on training. Attendees will leave with enhanced surgical proficiency, deeper anatomical insights, and the ability to confidently initiate split liver transplantation under supervision.
