This is the largest meeting in Europe in the field of beta cell replacement, including pancreas and islet transplantation and stem cell-derived insulin-secreting cells. Scientists, clinicians, students, and the technical staff share knowledge, experiences and outcomes. This meeting is critical to guide young professionals and collectively provide a European and International Consensus.

Accreditation

The 14th EPITA Symposium, Igls-Innsbruck, Austria 26/01/2025 – 28/01/2025 , has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 14.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Abstract Submission

The Abstract submission is closed.

  • Case studies for presentation during the workshop:

NEW type of submission: videos of operative cases
Authors can submit actual videos on the following topics:

  • clinical pancreas
  • clinical islet
  • basic and research both islet and pancreas

Videos should be no longer than 6 minutes and will be played with no sound in the event venue. Abstracts must be submitted in English and should not exceed 2700 characters / 500 words, excluding spaces (abstract title, list of authors and references not included in this count).

Presenting authors of accepted abstracts will benefit from the early fee up to one month before the start of the event29/12/2024

The 14th EPITA Symposium will award the highest-scored abstracts:

  • Best Oral Presentation
    • Clinical (500 EUR)
    • Basic Science (500 EUR)
  • Best poster (250 EUR)

Cancellation policy

Cancellations must be written to the ESOT Team. Please email: registrations@esot.org

For all cancellations received by 20 December 2024, the registration fee will be refunded (an administrative fee of 30% will be deducted from the paid amount). Cancellations after this date, will not be issued a refund. Refunds will be issued within 60 days from the end of the event.
