ECTORS Board Member 2018-2022

I am a post-doctoral research scientist at the University of Cambridge, Department of Surgery. My research interests have concentrated on preservation techniques and ischaemia reperfusion (I/R) injury in kidney transplantation. Together with Professor Nicholson I have led the development of an isolated organ perfusion system used to resuscitate human kidneys prior to transplantation. We have perfused over 100 discarded human kidneys in the laboratory setting and have successfully performed 50 cases in clinical practice.
