Sara Pasquato (psychologist psychotherapist) obtained her degree in Psychology from Padova University in 2002. Subsequently she completed: a master degree in “Parenthood: preventive, diagnostic and psychoterapeutic interventions” promoted by Padova University and directed by Prof. Fava Vizziello with a study on parenthood and complicated grief with the collaboration of the Veneto Regional Transplant Centre in 2003; a training at the Centre d’Etude de la Famille (Lausanne) to use observation of triadic relations in a systemic view of child and family development in 2003; the specialization in Clinical Psychology at Padova University in 2008.

From 2004 to 2009 she worked at the Veneto Regional Transplant Centre (Padova Hospital) in the areas of psychological support of the families in donation process and in situations of complicated grief, living donation, training of health professionals in donation and transplantation, information activities with students and general population to sensitize towards organ and tissue donation, research in the areas of donation and transplantation. From 2010 to 2023 she worked in the Psychiatric Diagnosis and Care Service in Mestre-Venezia Hospital and in the Mental Health Centre. In March 2023 she joined the Psychological Service of Padova Hospital in the areas of liver transplantation and living donation.

She is member of the Italian Society S.I.Psi.T.O. (Psychological and Psychiatric Transplant Italian Society). She has been member of the Group of Referents for transplant psychological and psychiatric aspects of the Veneto Region, which elaborated the “Guidelines for psychological assessment and assistance in donation and transplantation” for the Veneto Region in 2009.
