Quality of Life after Liver Transplantation Steering committee member

Born in London in 1962 and originally a fashion designer, Liz Schick is the current President of the World Transplant Games Federation (WTGF), where she has served in the WTGF Board since 2011. Well known throughout the transplant and transplant sports community for founding TACKERS, (Transplant Adventure Camps for Kids) a ski camp for transplant kids in Anzère, Switzerland where she lives, British-born Liz has strongly advocated organ donation since receiving her liver transplant in 1998. Liz holds a position at the Swisstransplant Foundation and has been a member of the Swiss Transplant Patient Association since 2001. Liz has also been competing in the Summer and Winter World Transplant Games as an athlete since 2001, and in 2019 was inducted into the WTGF Hall of Fame under the “Spirit of Leadership.” The transplant community is her extended family, and she works to inspire those around her to celebrate the gift of life, thank donors, and highlight the need to be physically active to maintain transplanted organs as long as possible.
