John Friedewald

Dr. John Friedewald received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Princeton University and his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons.  He completed his residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

He now works as a transplant nephrologist and research scientist in Chicago.  He is Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology and the Comprehensive Transplant Center.  He is the Medical Director of Kidney Transplantation at Northwestern Medicine.  Dr. Friedewald is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, American Society of Transplantation, and the American College of Physicians. He currently serves on the board of the American Society of Transplantation.
