Ivan Knezevic

Ivan Knezevic, MD.PhD, is a director of the Transplantation Centre of the University Medical Centre in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He was a member of the ECTTA board and has now serving as a chair of ECTTA. He is currently a member of the Thoracic Advisory Committee, the committee of the Eurotransplant. He is a world-renowned leader in heart transplants and mechanical circulatory support. He is one of the leaders of an extremely successful heart transplant program in Slovenia, which for seven years in a row (since 2012) has the highest ranking in the world in terms of heart transplants per million inhabitants. He is Associate Editor of Transplant International and reviewer of transplant journals.
