From 2002 to 2013 Dr. Feltrin worked at the Dept. of Cardiac Surgery of the Azienda Ospedaliera/University of Padua where he made his training in Cardiac Surgery. Dr. Feltrin took part to several general cardiac surgery procedures (including heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support implantation, and donor hearts harvest procedures)  both as an assistant and as a first surgeon. He was responsible for the Outpatient Clinic for Heart Transplant recipients , following over 500 patients of both paediatric and adult age. Dr Feltrin was member of the working  group on organ donation safety and on cardiac transplantation at Nord Italian Transplant Program (NITp) and of the national working group on cardiac transplantation at the National Transplantation Center (CNT). During his collaboration with CNT, Dr Feltrin was the coauthor of the first national Guidelines on Mechanical Circulatory Support. Dr. Feltrin was the responsible of the first national registry on mechanical circulatory support “ITAMACS REGISTRY” on behalf of CNT. From 2014 to 2015 Dr. Feltrin was appointed as the Chief Medical Officer of the Regional Centre for Transplant Coordination of Veneto Region. In 2016 Dr. Feltrin was promoted to the role of Regional Transplant Coordinator of Veneto Region.  In April 2016, Dr. Feltrin was appointed  member of the expert team for the Humanitarian Health care Programme of Veneto Region. Since November  2017 he is Board member  of SITO (Italian Society for Organ Transplantation)  and since 2019 he  also is SITO Treasurer.  In January 2019 he  was appointed member of the scientific Board of EDTCO (ESOT). Dr Feltrin is author/co-author of 2 Monographs and 51 publications indexed in PubMed. Main  topics of interest are: cardiac surgery, heart transplantation, ventricular assist devices, pediatric  heart transplantation.
