Christy Walklin is a specialist renal physiotherapist in the Renal Rehabilitation team at King’s College Hospital in London. Christy is responsible for assessing and treating patients that are pre and post transplant. Christy has experience guidining transplanted patient through rehabilitation and tailors this for each individual to help achieve their goals. This would be in the form of gym based exercise sessions, online exercise classes and individualised home exercise programmes which is specified for all abilities.
Recently Christy has worked on the Kidney Beam trial which is a large multi-centred randomised control trial in the United Kingdom looking into the effectiveness and acceptability of a new exercise platform designed for people living with chronic kidney disease.
