Ala Ali is a nephrologist and transplant physician in Baghdad, Iraq. He graduated from the University of Babylon and completed internal medicine and nephrology fellowships at Baghdad’s Medical City Hospital. He was awarded a fellowship at the Royal London Hospital, the UK, by the European Renal Association. With transplantation as the main interest, he engaged in the European Society Organ Transplantation (ESOT) educational pathway and earned a UEMS certificate in transplantation medicine.
Ala Ali is Iraq’s representative at the Middle East Society of organ transplantation (MESOT), a member of the Transplantation Society-Early Career Members Committee (TTS-ECMC), and the international society of nephrology (ISN) social media education team. In addition, he is the head of the medical department and nephrology tutor at the nephrology and renal transplantation center-Baghdad and a member of the Board of directors of the Clinical transplantation fellowship by the Arab Society of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation.
