Start Date:

End Date:

Country:
London, UK
Description & Objectives:

The BTS and BSHI have jointly organised a one-day meeting aimed at understanding the science and clinical application for novel diagnostics (donor derived cell free DNA, Omics and Torque Teno virus) in the care of solid organ transplant patients. These technologies come with the promise of Precision Medicine with non-invasive tests. The meeting brings together national and international experts in the field to educate, discuss and debate whether the hype behind these novel technologies is deserved, role in different organ transplants and adults-versus-paediatric populations, how such technologies may fit in the NHS/UK context and what un-answered questions needs further research. The programme is designed to be interactive and informative with plenty of interaction opportunities both during and between-sessions with the experts including a drinks reception at the end of the meeting.
