Description & Objectives:

This Monothematic Conference will bring together leading experts and emerging investigators to address one of the most pressing and rapidly evolving areas in transplantation: metabolic disorders and organ cross-talk. Designed as a highly focused, in-depth meeting, this conference will foster scientific exchange, clinical translation, and strategic collaboration across abdominal and thoracic transplantation.

Why this conference matters

Metabolic disorders increasingly impact transplant indications, outcomes, and long-term patient management. This meeting will provide a unique, multidisciplinary forum to:

  • Address shared challenges across liver, kidney, pancreas, heart, and lung transplantation
  • Explore metabolic organ cross-talk and its clinical implications
  • Bridge basic science, translational research, and clinical practice
  • Identify future research directions and unmet clinical needs

A high-level scientific programme

The programme brings together internationally recognised experts and rising leaders in the field, covering:

  • Common metabolic challenges across organ systems
  • Mechanistic insights into metabolic dysfunction and transplantation
  • Clinical implications for patient selection, management, and outcomes
  • Interactive discussions designed to stimulate collaboration and innovation

The monothematic format ensures depth over breadth, extended discussion time.
