The “International Masterclass of Donor Management, Kidney Procurement and Preservation for Transplantation” (IMKPT), will be held at the Medical University of Warsaw on 15-16 November 2024.
The programme focuses on three main fields of organ donation. The event covers the aspects of donor assessment and management. Lectures will also highlight the technical issues of kidney procurement and bailout procedures. However, the main emphasis will be on the options of preservation in hipo-, subnormo- or normothermic conditions to improve transplantation outcomes. The second day will feature hands-on workshops designed to improve skills in kidney retrieval and machine preservation. The event will showcase a variety of new technologies used for organ recovery.
