It is our pleasure to invite you to the 5th edition of the International Transplantoux ‘Time to Move’ Symposium. This symposium will take place on 11 and 12 February 2022, in a hybrid format. We look forward to welcoming you in Leuven (Belgium) or online!
This annual symposium focuses on the role of physical activity, exercise training, and nutrition in patients with a history of (chronic) organ disease and organ transplantation. This symposium is organized for and by patients, clinicians, and academics. The target audience are transplant physicians and surgeons, general practitioners, nurses, physiotherapists, physical trainers, transplant coordinators and all professionals involved or interested in transplant research and practice.
As in previous editions, the 2-day programme will consist of academic lectures, patient testimonials and interactive workshops. Next to all keynote and oral presentations, we also proud to have two satellite symposia in 2022. The first one is a satellite symposium on Frailty and Sarcopenia in Transplant, organized by the Canadian Network for Rehabilitation and Exercise for Solid Organ Transplant Optimal Recovery (CAN-RESTORE). The second one is a satellite symposium on the Global Renal Exercise (GREX) Phenomenon: ‘Lessons learned and future directions for exercise in End Stage Kidney Disease’.
