ECTTA Board Member 2025-2029

I am a pulmonologist specializing in lung transplantation, with over 13 years of experience in both clinical practice and research. I work at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, one of the leading lung transplant centers in Spain, performing around 110 transplants annually with more than 25 years of experience in the field.
My research has focused primarily on chronic lung allograft dysfunction (CLAD) and post-transplant complications such as venous thromboembolism, culminating in the defense of my PhD in 2018. Following this, I completed a six-month international fellowship at University Hospitals Leuven (Belgium). Since 2019, I have been a staff member of the Lung Transplant Unit at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, where I combine clinical work with academic and research activities.
I strongly believe that sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration within the scientific community are key to advancing the field of lung transplantation and improving patient outcomes. In ESOT I am also a member of the ESOT Infectious Diseases Task Force and Guidelines Task Force.
