Research Opportunities

Our partners have the opportunity to be at the forefront of new, cutting edge technologies in take part in innovative projects that shape the field of organ transplantation.

ESOT Multi-Organ Transplant Registry - Rates upon request

Registries are a critical mechanism to allow a better understanding of new treatment outcomes and the clinical, economic, and humanistic value of innovative drugs and devices in real clinical practice settings and ESOT has been identified as the most appropriate organisation to take over the full management of the European renal transplant registry and to expand it into a multi-organ pan-European registry.

By supporting the new ESOT registry programme, our partners will have the opportunity to multiply research possibilities by helping to deliver high quality observational real time data for educational programmes and the development of guidelines that meet the needs of physicians in the field, thus improving healthcare worldwide.

Registry support options include:

  • Unrestricted grants to support the project as a whole
  • Technical platform support
  • Sponsor specific areas and registry questions
  • Commissioning of reports on specific topics
  • Data collection or analysis of subsets related to categories of patients and type of transplant
Innovations For Patients (ESOT Hackathon) – From €50,000

In the past few years ESOT has been working with transplant patient organisations throughout Europe to foster cooperation between healthcare professionals and patients and to broaden patient participation in its own activities. To further its commitment to a growing patient involvement in transplantation practices, ESOT is launching a public initiative to evaluate tools which support patients throughout the entire transplantation cycle: waiting list, surgery, post-surgery and management of associated therapy.

The ‘ESOT Hackathon’ is an exciting new competitive event where participants collaborate to build proofs of concept to identify tools for patients, specifically to promote self-management, telemedicine, data transmission to carers and, in general, to improve the well-being and quality of life of transplant patients.

Industry partners are invited to be a pro-active part of this initiative from the start and throughout the Hackathon process until the award ceremony at the ESOT Congress 2021. We recognise that industry partners often have a thriving innovation department and they promote internal innovation as a priority, so we count on supporters to be ready to play this extended role.
