Description & Objectives:
This edition, themed “Antibody Response and Desensitisation in Solid Organ Transplantation: from Mechanisms to Innovative Therapies,” will bring together key figures in the field of transplantation. Over two days, the meeting will address the mechanisms driving antibody responses and the latest desensitisation strategies. Particular emphasis will be placed on advancing understanding of B cell biology, plasma cell survival, and antigen-specific memory B cells, as well as on innovative approaches to prevent and treat antibody-mediated rejection.
programme will also highlight the growing role of bioinformatics and artificial intelligence in transplantation, exploring how these advanced tools can guide clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes. Applications in proteomics, AI-based diagnostic tools, and future innovations likely to transform the field will be presented.
Finally, innovative therapies for highly sensitised patients will be covered, including desensitisation strategies, costimulatory blockade, imlifidase mechanisms, and emerging CAR-T cell approaches, providing a unique platform for learning and collaboration.
