ESOT Centres of Preceptorship (CoP) Network

What is the CoP network?

The CoP network will:

Offer structured training for young transplant professionals in HLA desensitisation
Promote multidisciplinary best practices in transplant care
Support collaborative research and innovation
Provide long-term leadership in the field of sensitised kidney transplantation

Objectives

• Creation and development of a Network of Centres to host Young Professionals in Transplantation and provide them leadership, best practice, research, support and/or training in management of sensitised kidney recipients by means of HLA desensitisation.
• Developing multidisciplinary solutions and train the next generation of transplant professionals on specific fields and/or skills, at the same time, canalising research activities
• Opening of a dedicated page to host information about the CoP activities
  • make educational material developed for the preceptorship readily available
• Setting up a sustainable programme to include more centres in the next editions of the preceptorship

How to Apply

1. A brief description of their centre – clinical and/or research activities in the field of kidney transplantation in sensitised candidates (1 page)
2. An outline of the proposed preceptorship programme (Learning objectives, methodology, etc)
3. A picture of the centre and/or team (Picture to be included in the open call for participant application)

Application Criteria

• Demonstrated experience in HLA desensitisation
• Kidney transplant case volume in the last 5 years
• Clinical trials conducted in the field
• Research output and funding track record
• Formal institutional support for the project
• Willingness to:
  • Join the CoP scientific committee
  • Host 6 selected participants
  • Provide logistical support (e.g. accommodation, rooms, local coordination)

How to Apply

1. Submit a CV – one page
2. Rank their preferred centres
3. ½ page explaining centre preference
4. Provide a brief statement on what they hope to learn

Application Criteria

• Be a young clinician/clinical researcher/physician (less than 40)
• Have completed 5 years after graduation
• Be an ESOT Member.
• Non-ESOT members may apply but will not be given priority; if they are selected, they will be requested to become ESOT members.
