Siân Griffin (ORCID ID 0000-0001-5860-9036) is a Consultant Nephrologist and Honorary Professor of Nephrology in Cardiff, Wales. She received her training in Cambridge, England, Melbourne, Australia, and Seattle, USA, and is a co-investigator on research studies funded by the National Institute for Health Research, Kidney Research UK and Kidney Care UK. The overall aim of her research is to improve the management and patient impact of immunologically mediated renal disease.

This comprises three workstreams:

  1. Personalised management of immunosuppression, specifically in the following situations:
    1. Immunologically high-risk kidney transplantation
    2. Post-transplant viral infections
    3. Patients with failing kidney transplants
  1. Optimising the care of patients with glomerulonephritis by recruitment to investigator-led and commercial clinical trials
  2. Holistic care including reproductive goals for patients with chronic kidney disease
