Dr E. De Martin is transplant hepatologist at Centre Hépato-Biliaire, Paul Brousse Hospital in France. She was visiting student at The Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation, Columbia University College of Physician and Surgeons, New York Presbyterian in 2006. She graduated in Medical School at Padova University, Italy, in 2006. She obtained her specialisation in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at Padova University in 2011. She trained at the Multivisceral Transplant Unit, Padova, Italy and she completed her training at the Centre Hépato-Biliaire, Paul Brousse Hospital, Villejuif, France. She obtained the Diploma in Transplant Medicine of the European Board of Transplant Medicine in 2013. She completed her PhD at Padova University in 2015. Currently, she is the director of the Reference Center for Rare Diseases: ‘inflammatory diseases of the bile ducts and autoimmune hepatitis’. She is also in charge of the transition program from the pediatric to adult services. She is the Past Chair of the ILTS Vanguard Committee and a steering committee member of the ILTS Liver Transplant Immunology Special Interest Group. She is the Treasurer of the REFHEPS (Réseau d’étude francophone de l’hépatotoxicité des produits de santé) Foundation. She is Associate Editor of American Journal of Transplantation and Transplantation and Editorial Board member of JHEP Reports. She has several publications in peer-reviewed journals. Her fields of interest are liver transplantation, autoimmune hepatitis in particular severe acute and fulminant forms and hepatic toxicity of immunotherapy for metastatic cancer.
