Christophe Legendre, MD, is professor of Nephrology at Université Paris Cité and Head Nephrology and Transplantation Unit at Necker Hospital in Paris. He trained at the University of Montpellier, France, and spent 3 years as a postdoctoral fellow in the Immunogenetics Laboratory (Dr. Ronald Guttmann) at McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Legendre is Deputy Editor of Transplantation and Associate Editor of Kidney International. Dr. Legendre’s main research interests include clinical evaluation of new immunosuppressants, transplantation in high-risk recipients (immunological risk, dual transplantations, and marginal kidneys), viral infection after transplantation (hepatitis, CMV, HHV8), screening kidney biopsies, and recurrence of disease post transplantation. He has published approximately 650 papers in English peer-reviewed journals.
