Councillor 2023-2027

I became a registered nurse in 1991 and made my clinical career at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. I have mainly performed my organ donation and organ transplantation training and research at the Transplant unit of this hospital. In 2001 I defended my thesis entitled “Health related quality of life and coping after liver transplantation” at the Department of Surgery, University of Gothenburg. In 2011 I was promoted to professor in nursing at the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg and after that I moved with my family to the South of Sweden and Lund University where I became a clinical professor in caring sciences specialising in organ transplantation in 2013. Today I solely focus on thoracic transplant recipients in both research and the clinic. Being a part of ETAHP is for me the ultimate opportunity to share knowledge, research ideas and clinical experience within transplant nursing throughout Europe.
