In the latest issue of Transplant International, Rossignol and colleagues (Lyon, France) studied the impact of hypothermic oxygenated perfusion on ex situ split grafts (HOPE-Split) in paediatric liver transplantation. New resolution adopted by the World Health Assembly
The World Health Assembly has adopted a resolution titled “Increasing Availability, Ethical Access, and Oversight of Transplantation of Human Cells, Tissues, and Organs.” This resolution emphasises the need to expand transplantation, maximise donations from deceased donors, protect living donors, combat organ trafficking, and address innovation in this field. The resolution is based on the Santander Declaration from the Global Transplant Summit in November 2023.
