Description & Objectives:

We are excited to announce the next workshop in our infectious disease series: “When CMV Infection Becomes Difficult to Treat.” This interactive session is designed for transplant professionals who want to deepen their understanding of managing challenging CMV cases.

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection is the most prevalent opportunistic infection after solid-organ-transplantation. Despite prevention strategies, a large number of patients present a CMV infection and/or disease. Some patients develop resistant/refractory CMV. In this workshop, Dr. Pereira will showcase challenging cases followed by a discussion of the current treatment of refractory/resistant CMV and under-investigation strategies.
