The European Pancreas and Islet transplantation Registry (EPITR) is under the responsibility of EPITA, the ESOT section responsible for pancreas and islet transplants. The financial responsibility of the EPITR is that of EPITA and, consequently, that of ESOT.

EPITR is being developed in collaboration with Dendrite Clinical Systems, the ESOT technical partner appointed to create the ESOT registries platform: the online platform is expected to be delivered in March 2024. A dedicated scientific committee chaired by Dr Diego Cantarovich, University of Nantes (France), has defined a list of variables to gather information on transplantation procedures, graft characteristics, donors, recipients and follow-up.

The following institutions have signed a Data Sharing Agreement with ESOT:

  • Nantes University Hospital (France)
  • Leiden University Medical Centre (The Netherlands)
