Artur Kwiatkowski – transplant surgeon, Head of the Transplant Institute in Warsaw. He completed internships in surgery and transplantology at the University of Texas, Houston (USA) and Meinz Medical Academy, Idar-Oberstein (Germany). His main areas of interest include the assessment of the quality of life of patients after pancreas transplantion, the assessment of the condition of a living kidney donor, kidney exchange programme, and transendoscopic islet transplantation to gastric submucosa. President of the Polish Society for Organ Donation. Member of ESOT since 2009.
