Silvio Nadalin , MD, FEBS, is Professor of Surgery and works as director of HBP- and Transplant Surgery and vice-chairman at the Dept of General, Visceral and Transplant Surgery at the  University Hospital Tübingen in Germany. From 1994 to 1999 he completed his surgical training at the Dept. of General, Visceral and Transplant Surgery at the Hannover Medical School, Germany. From 2000 to 2008 he worked as consultant at the Dept. of General, Visceral and Transplant Surgery at the Essen Medical School where he developed his skills in segmental liver transplantation (DD and LD) and high end HBP-Surgery.  June 2008 he moved to Tübingen (Germany) where he covers the above-mentioned position.  His main interest is segmental liver transplantation (mainly paediatrics) which led  to the development of complex high-end HBP-Surgery (i.e. ALPPS) and Transplant Surgery as well (i.e. Living Donor APOLT-ALPPS for irresectable colorectal liver metastases). He is member of many different surgical and transplant societies (e.g. ESOT, ELITA, TTS, DTG, IHPBA). He is reviewer of more 20 surgical international journals. He authored and co-authored almost 200 publications (HI 38).
