“I am extremely grateful to have been awarded an ESOT Fellowship, and this presents an incredible opportunity to develop my career in the field of organ transplantation. My PhD research has allowed me to apply my background in computer science to identify the key challenges of lung allocation in the UK, using a range of simulation, statistical and mathematical techniques. This fellowship will allow me to expand the scope of my research, which aims to develop an organ allocation framework that will help design allocation policies that are fair, transparent and, most importantly, align with the goals and values of transplant patients.”
