ETAHP Board member 2018-2022

I became a registered nurse in 1991 and made my clinical career at the John Paul II Hospital, Cardiovascular Surgery & Transplantology Dpt. in Krakow, Poland. I have mainly performed my organ donation and organ transplantation training and research at the Transplant unit of this hospital and Polish Transplant Coordinating Center Poltransplant. In 2014 I defended my doctoral thesis entitled “Evaluation of selected determinants of quality of life of patients after heart transplantation” at the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in Krakow. In 2020 I was promoted to professor in health science at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. My scientific achievement was concerning “The biopsychosocial functioning of heart transplant recipients”.    Today I focus on thoracic transplant recipients and mechanical cardiac support in both research and the clinic as well as psychosocial model od decision about organ donation. I’m ESOT member from 2016 and ETAHP board member form 2018.
