Nursing / Allied healthcare lead 2022-2025

I graduated as a registered nurse in 2011 and I am currently a clinical nurse specialist working at the Transplantation out-patient clinic at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (SU) in Gothenburg, Sweden. I am also coordinator in the liver and visceral transplantation teams. My nursing colleagues and I are responsible for the patient education program given to all solid organ recipients at SU as well as the on-going development of a transition program for our young adult patients transitioning from pediatric to adult care. I finished my one-year Master in specialist nursing at Gothenburg University in 2019 and I’m currently enrolled as a PhD student, working on my thesis project entitled “The Art and Science of Adaptation after Liver and/or Visceral Transplantation”. My motivation and drive to continuously educate myself and gain knowledge in my field, has not only been to become a skilled nurse for my patients but also to become an adept colleague and clinical preceptor. I am very excited to be part of the Education Committee Board as nurse lead to highlight the importance of research and education within the nursing and allied health care sciences.
